Mission
Legacy Lens • Offline-only governance • Updated 2026-01-14
Legacy Lens exists to prevent irreversible decisions from being made on assumption.
We produce deterministic, replayable evidence about what source artifacts guarantee — and we explicitly record where guarantees do not exist.

What Legacy Lens is
Legacy Lens is an independent deterministic decision authority for regulated legacy systems. It issues or refuses governance decisions based solely on provable guarantees derived from source artifacts under a declared governance context.
What Legacy Lens is not
- Not a migration tool.
- Not a translator.
- Not a runtime simulator.
- Not a compliance certifier.
- Not a probabilistic scoring engine.
Non‑negotiable properties
- Determinism: same input → same outputs → same hashes.
- Replayability: evidence can be verified years later.
- Context‑bound governance: context is declared, recorded, immutable.
- Refusal: where provability terminates, authority terminates.
- Offline posture: no telemetry, no external calls.
